In my town cops are required to have a bachelors degree. Not in anything specific but you still have to have one. I don’t think ICE has the same requirement.
This is easily bypassed by having “college” programs that are literally just puppy mills for cops. They technically meet the requirements to give out a degree, but the program is 80% propaganda and warrior ethos training, not academic rigor or studying social science.
I was in the CJ field for a long time before getting my shit figured out, and I actually have a bachelors degree from a decent university. Most of the people I worked with in that career field had “degrees” from online programs or schools in the middle of fucking nowhere, population 100, that only offer law enforcement and nursing courses, and will hand hold even the dumbest motherfucker across the finish line.
Your missing the point that ICE caters to people too dumb to even play the diploma mill game.
No, I’m not. If you think local law enforcement aren’t throwing on masks and doing joint operations with ICE just because they say they aren’t, I have a bridge to sell you. That venn diagram is a circle, comrade.
