Trump links Greenland threats to Nobel snub as Europe eyes tariff retaliation

Europe vows to retaliate economically to President Donald Trump's continued campaign to obtain Greenland.

I can't repress a feeling of joy at reading this deranged message from Trump. Finally the end of the empire is approaching.

People in the US like to call Trump the "mad king", but he is not a king -- he is an elected politician who won a fair election, and no one in power in the US shows the slightest inclination to get rid of him. He's showing the world what the US actually is. European leaders can no longer be lap dogs for the empire and deceive their people.

Whenever I post something like this someone replies "do you think other empires are better?" No I do not, not intrinsically, but it's worth stating that China has a policy of pushing renewables that would save the world from the worst reaches of global climate change and the US has a policy of pushing fossil fuels which it has pursued under both US parties.
@richpuchalsky If Chinese and US authoritarians are equal in human rights abuses, at least the Chinese government has improved conditions for its people, with amazing progress over the past 30 years. I struggle to find an example of anything liberal democracy improved in the same time.
