I want to get some more colours for my 3D printed Pokémon earring designs, but each thing I'm printing will probably use like... 10g max, each, even with 100% waste allowance.

I don't really want to buy 1kg spools for this - especially as I am undecided on which colours I want.

Are there any good options for getting some nice colours in small amounts? I looked at short lengths for 3D pens but the colour variety I wanted wasn't there.

@alecat If you go directly to manufacturer websites, they sometimes have samples that are 25g-50g which might work? I know Prusa (https://www.prusa3d.com/category/filament/?filters=%7B%22parameters%22%3A%5B%7B%22parameter%22%3A%22c3b115da-8122-46ef-9ab4-828a3a124c69%22%2C%22baseColors%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22values%22%3A%5B%2211569745-4514-49ca-9ac1-b5e233389b5a%22%5D%7D%5D%7D) and Protopasta (https://proto-pasta.com/collections/all?filter.v.option.size=50g+Coil) have them I'm not sure about others.

If you use Bambu filaments they have a filament swatch bundle that shows a bunch of their colors which might help as well https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/bambu-filament-swatches

If you're looking for certain colors, @filamentcolors has a useful site that might help too (https://filamentcolors.xyz/library/)

@dmynerd78 ooh, 50g samples might work well. Thanks for the links - my googling didn’t go small enough on the weight to find the sample listings!

@alecat I hope that helps! I know the struggle of trying to find the right color for what you want. I haven't perfected it but hopefully that points you in the right direction

@dmynerd78 Oh and @filamentcolors has relevant swatches from my usual supplier (Siddament) that I can reference for comparisons and to help me decide if I *actually* want what I've currently been agonising over in my cart - nice!
