I don't want to spend the morning cleaning my house. I would rather use the time to contemplate the nature of life¹ and to create new, daring art².

@amiserabilist @davidnjoku That's a jalepeno.

@Elleaster

i am indian, dot not feather. when i was a kid i wanted chilli but my parents wouldn't let me.

i remember the day they did, it was with chicken curry and it was divine.

A jalapeño is a specific type of chili pepper, while "chili pepper" is a broad category for hundreds of varieties, meaning all jalapeños are chili peppers, but not all chili peppers are jalapeños; jalapeños offer a mild-to-medium heat (2,500-8,000 SHU) with fruity notes, perfect for Mexican cuisine, whereas other chilies (like Serranos or Cayennes) vary greatly in heat, flavor, and use, from sharp and earthy to fiery, providing diverse options for cooking.

@davidnjoku

@amiserabilist You telling a Mexican-American lady about chilis?! I kid!

Did you know that chipotles are just dried jalapenos? True story.

@amiserabilist @davidnjoku I hope one day you can experience a good mole` sauce.

@Elleaster

it sounds intriguing.

A common legend of its creation takes place at the Convent of Santa Clara in Puebla early in the colonial period. Upon hearing that the archbishop was going to visit, the convent nuns panicked because they were poor and had almost nothing to prepare. The nuns prayed and brought together the little bits of what they did have, including nuts, chili peppers, spices, day-old bread and a little chocolate. They killed an old turkey, cooked it and put the sauce on top; the archbishop loved it. When one of the nuns was asked the name of the dish, she replied, "I made a mole." Mole is an archaic word for mix; now this word mostly refers to the dish, and is rarely used to signify other kinds of mixes in Spanish.[7]
