Interesting trial on BP targets in spinal cord injury. The authors conclude no difference, but how robust??? #FOAMed

Early Blood Pressure Targets in Acute Spinal Cord Injury
This multicentre randomised clinical trial evaluated whether early blood pressure augmentation improves neurological outcomes after acute traumatic spinal cord injury. Patients were randomised to augmented (MAP >85–90 mm Hg) or conventional (MAP >65–70 mm Hg) blood pressure targets for seven days. The study found no difference in six-month neurological recovery but found higher rates of respiratory complications, organ dysfunction, and prolonged mechanical ventilation in the augmented group. However, lots of patients dropped out and these are not PHEM/EM patients so any change to practice should be cautious.
