Attached: 1 image I just watched the last episode of #StrangerThings , completing the entire #StrangerThings5. Well, Duffer Brothers, you blew it. One of the worst finales I've ever seen!

100 METERS (2025)

Very good movie. Really liked the message at the end: It doesn't matter who wins, life is a pain in many ways but to do the thing you love you must forget the harsh reality and feel what's ahead of you with your heart and not your brain.

4/5 ⭐️

Sin City (2005)

This movie hit the perfect equilibrium. The art style lends perfectly to the over-the-top nature of the stories, personalities and action. The performances are the best part. Bruce Willis kills it, but hell if every role wasn't perfectly cast.

4/5 ⭐️

Man of Tai Chi (2013)

Okayish flick. Keanu as a bad guy is a weird choice. It kind of felt like he spent the entire movie being amused to himself about the very idea of it. Tigerβ€˜s whole thing of being secretly groomed by Keanu into being a killer was well done, though.

3/5 ⭐️

Ikiru (1952)

A solid film but definitely not one of my favorites from Akira Kurosawa's filmography. The ending of the movie was just a mistake and tried to bite off more than it could chew. I don't want to end up like the main character, but I probably will some day.

3/5 ⭐️

High and Low (1963)

I really love this film, especially the part where detectives are discussing the case, the way they go through the whole case, reach some dead ends and find new leads, i never knew someone could direct conversations that well.

4.5/5⭐️

Casino Royale (1954)

The first screen adaptation of Ian Fleming's character of James Bond, and one of the three "Non-Canon" Bond films in the Franchise. Pretty lame first outing imo. It’s worth watching as an historical document once and then filed away.

1.5/5 ⭐️

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014)

Okay sequel. The Eva Green story was the best one but still rather predictable (I like Josh Brolin but Clive Owen was better as Dwight) despite Eva Green delivering a good performance. Joseph Gordon Levitt's story went really nowhere.

3/5 ⭐️

Scary Movie (2000)

Pretty good. Some of the humor doesn't hold up, some does. This came at the time where parody movies had not yet been run into the ground, and a lot of the tropes/cliches that they lampshaded in this movie were, for the time, very clever and very funny.

4/5⭐️

Loved 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026). The tonal balance shines: Sir Jimmy’s near-mythic evil contrasts perfectly with Kelson’s optimism. The Iron Maiden finale is pure adrenaline. Spike remains dull, though. Still excited for Part 3.

Lustmord (1987)

Ecstasy transforming into self-destruction.
Creating a reality where freedom becomes suffering, and joy fades into insanity.

3/5⭐️

Evil Dead Trap (1988)

What do you get if you combined Dario Argento and David Cronenberg - one of the craziest japanese slasher films ever!

4/5⭐️

Re-Wind (1988)

More or less a hardcore pornographic version of Peeping Tom (1960).

3.5/5⭐️

Scary Movie 2 (2001)

Not as good as the 1st one but still good.
It has my favorite opening scene of all the Scary Movie movies. And the basketball skit scene always has me in tears πŸ˜‚

3.5/5⭐️

Love Letter in the Sand (1988)

The wetness in this movie was so miserable and gross that I just wanted to dry off all the humidity off my skin after watching.

2.5/5⭐️

Tomie (1998)

The most positive thing I can say about this movie is that I want to read the Junji Itō manga that its based on. It seems like an impossible task to adapt Junji Itō's works properly.

2/5⭐️

Battle Royale (2000)

It is what it is. It’s a schlocky over the top very violent action movie with a surprising amount of subtext within its message. It’s not some masterpiece. It’s not Shakespeare but still pretty entertaining.

Broken Rage (2024)

An thriller/comedy flick, divided into three entertaining acts. Absurd, some jokes are really great like e.g. the musical chair or the Samsung smartphone.

Japanuary Challenge 2026 πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

Here are the 10 japanese movies I'll try watching this January. Inspired by Ben's Japanuary Challenge 2026 πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Progress: 10/10

The RIP (2026)

Great cast. Not a lot of action so I guess the $100M budget went to the salaries of Ben Affleck & Matt Damon.
I believe this is the most nicest, generous, most courteous cartel that’s ever been portrayed on film.

3/5⭐️

Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (2026)

It felt like a 24 episode anime condensed into a 2 hour movie in a good way. I really enjoyed the songs by the Vocaloid producers (especially Ryo’s songs). The animation was beautiful all the way through and the characters were so good too.

3.5/5⭐️

Dr. No (1962)

The first 2/3 of the movie are really good, but as soon as Bond gets captured, it grinds to a halt and slows all the way down for me and then turns into sci-fi schlock.

3/5⭐️

From Russia with Love (1963)

Pretty mid imo. The stakes were low and I felt it lacked the creativity and eccentricity the previous movie had. There were too much drawn-out parts or scenes where not much happened.

2.5/5⭐️

Goldfinger (1964)

This movie nailed the formula for James Bond with the right mix of action, gadgetry, a pretty good villain (No, Mr Bond, I expect you die!) and women.
Not everything is perfect but still a good movie.

3.5/5⭐️

Send Help (2026)

It was a fun movie. I wouldn't give it a very high rating, but it was a good enough time waster. Glad to see Sam Raimi still making movies.

Thunderball (1965)

A quintessential Bond movie. It's got one liners, great scenery in "exotic" locales, beautiful women, neat gadgets, a great villain with a suitably cool lair and weird Cold War related plot, and the underwater fight scene is cool and unique.

4/5⭐️

The Straight Story (1999)

A very sweet, humane film, but one that still maintains a haunting quality and a very subtle form of weirdness. There's no violence or disturbing imagery, but the deer scene is one of the most bizarrely mystical moments in Lynch's career.

4/5⭐️

Hamnet (2025)

An overall okay film. Very slow burn but the performances are outstanding. The last theater scene was gorgeous beyond belief.

You Only Live Twice (1967)

The film does really well up until the Japanese Bond stuff which is...problematic. Donald Pleasence is pretty great Blofeld.
Also the cigarette gun is probably my favorite bond gadget of all time. I love the really simple gadgets.

3/5⭐️

Casino Royale (1967)

This movie is a farce.
A giant bloated unfunny mess of a film that wasted a great cast.
It is honestly a miracle that this movie didn't manage to destroy the reputation of James Bond as a franchise.

1/5⭐️

Lost Highway (1997)

A wild ride! I've been impressed with everything I've seen from Lynch: Twin Peaks, Eraserhead, etc. And now this one too. Perfect amount of camp, off-kilter humour, awkward dialogue and strange hallucinatory filming techniques.
