Does it have to be because of the situation with Grok, or can we go back and look at older reasons too?
I left in November 2022, and I used Redact to delete all my tweets and retweets and likes. I then spent about a year trying to persuade Twitter mutuals to move away.
I was using the link shortener at "spacekaren .sucks" to link to my profile. That site (which is gone now) was set up to evade Twitter's ban on Mastodon URLs.

Just thinking, would a simple self-service form not be better that having people send info to you ?
- user/org inputs: old twitter handle and handles on other platforms
- this can then be listed
- people could search for twitter handle to return where they post now
@phelan Yes that is the plan. Unfortunately our form handler decided to spectacularly combust, and it has had impact across the website. We are in the process of dealing with that.

@jik unfortunately we have run into a technical problem. We use a form to input the information and the form handler we use has decided to dramatically combust. This impacts quite a few dependencies across our site but we are working on it.
