@podhome howdy, I was curious if podhome allows for direct edit capabilities to the rss feeds. I’m interested in migrating a handful of feeds over but a few of them feature experimental tags like the chat in the live items. In addition, how do the VTS work? Is there a spot to input a link from the split kit in? My last question is about video, currently all the skirmishes are hosted thru cloudflare, do you take video submissions as well? Thanks man o7
@boobury Hey! We don't allow direct edits of the feed, but we do have a lot of features. 1. We don't have chat in live items yet, but we can add that for sure. 2. We have a whole interface for Value Time Splits: https://podhome.fm/docs/use-value-4-value. 3. Maybe? I'm not sure where you want to stick that 😃 4. You can upload video for your normal episode enclosure. we auto-convert that to audio. You can also use the video now for alternate enclosure and have both audio and video
Use Value 4 Value to Monetize your podcast

When your podcast episode has chapters, listeners can quickly see what your episode is about, and they can skip over topics they’re not interested in.

@podhome the live value link for question 3. For this last concert, the person driving the splits was in Kansas City while the show took place in Minneapolis. The reason I ask about custom editing feeds is we quite often copy and paste live episode into the BTS feed for rebroadcasting special events.

@boobury Yes, we do have that (live value link).

Also, you can copy (duplicate) any episode to your own podcast, or any other podcast you own. So you could copy the live episodes if needed.

How about this: We build in the chat tag support for live and then you can try it out.

@podhome Im definitely interested, what’s drawing my eye the most is the team access so lavish and I can both work on uploading for weekly eps. We’ve been discussing a new type of show so we could test drive it with podhome
@boobury awesome. I'll let you know when the chat tag support is live
@podhome at some point I’d like to work with one of the apps to create a tag for custom boost alerts to overlay on podcast artwork. That’s a future problem tho
@boobury well, I'm very open to new ideas. We can build stuff quick to try things out
@podhome the IRC bot that shows what’s currently playing uses the link I highlighted in the pic as well
