Apparently, a journalist has just noticed and publicized a re-branding that was noticed by other journalists back in October 2025.

Both times, it seems that no-one has highlighted the irony of #UKIP ditching the #pound.

This is the rump UKIP, by the way, left behind after the original UKIP morphed into the Brexit Party, and thence #ReformUKLtd.

Think of it as the nationalist extremists's version of 'The Real Labour Party' and suchlike that you find on ballot forms.

UKIP unveil questionable new logo and everyone notices the same thing

UKIP ditched the yellow and purple colour scheme, along with the pound logo that grew to prominence under the leadership of Nigel Farage.

The slogan is somewhat older.

Rump #UKIP, drawing the attention of pretty much no-one apart from someone uploading to Wikimedia Commons, re-branded to the part with the slogan a year or so beforehand.

The #IronCross (with sword, spear, and shield) part is the new bit that was spotted in 2025.

Cynically put: Rump UKIP ditching the #pound didn't get them into the headlines, but adding an Iron Cross did. Twice.

My guess is that one of the bumbling Rump #UKIP people had the idea that it would associate them with something bad, like knife crime.

Or perhaps someone told them that per #ElectoralCommission guidelines it shouldn't mislead Rump UKIP voters into thinking that the ballot already has a cross next to their party.
