I listen to a lot of music. I mean, a LOT.

At least, I USED to. What my dopamine seeking AuDHD brain does is put on a massive playlist, press play then SKIP, SKIP, SKIP, SKIP..

I'll hear the first few seconds of about 20 tracks before I listen to one then repeat the process for my 2nd track.

I don't really do New Year's resolutions but I'm stopping this. I plan to listen (at least) to songs the whole way through and (at best) to entire ALBUMS all the way through in the order determined by the artist.

I keep listening to the same songs over and over. The audio equivalent of comfort food. I need to challenge my taste and venture back to the rich musical landscape i once trod daily.

@PeteLittle yeah. Although I appreciate the ease of making mixtape playlists on streaming, sometimes listening to an album in order is worth taking time out for. I've currently got Depeche Mode's Violator playing until my first teams call

@Pionir i purchased the "complete Alan Parsons Project" boxset and I'm currently listening through them all, in order, completely one CD (or at least one local ripped mp3 copy of the CD's) at a time.

Listened all the way through "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" and now 3 tracks into "I Robot"

@PeteLittle good plan. I love Eye in the Sky, but can't say much else they've done grabbed me. One for my compilation lists!
