It is Indigenous Peoples Celebration at the arena today - which is only recently owned/operated by the Milles Lacs Band of Ojibwe. Before the anthem, members of multiple Nations in the state of Minnesota came onto the ice with their flags and played their own music. It was really cool. Then our Lt Governor Peggy Flanagan - also Indigenous - spoke on the big screen.
I'm feeling better about my choices.
