@BrennpunktUA @AwetTesfaiesus Bisher nur Erfahrungen mit e/OS. Aber man kann leider nicht alle Geräte retten. Ich hatte ja auch an Linux Mobile schon mal gedacht, aber da werden auch sehr wenige Geräte unterstützt scheinbar. Wollte mir eventuell bald mal ein Linux Tablet kaufen. Dann hat man keine Probleme mehr mit Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum von Google, Microsoft oder Apple Betriebssystemen.
@nerdish_philipp @BrennpunktUA @AwetTesfaiesus It does have the same expiration date through the firmware losing support, unless you want to be using a device with severe unpatched vulnerabilities in the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular radios along with the GPU which can be remotely exploited both in proximity and through a browser. Those operating systems also provide much worse privacy and security compared to AOSP since they're a downgrade to the far weaker desktop privacy/security approach.
@nerdish_philipp @BrennpunktUA @AwetTesfaiesus Linux doesn't mean glibc, systemd and GNOME. Operating systems based on the Android Open Source Project such as GrapheneOS are Linux distributions. A major part of our work will have to be continuing to harden the Linux kernel far more because it's currently far less secure than the iOS kernel even with the far more minimal configuration and hardening features used by Android which is improved by GrapheneOS. Using Linux is a problem for security.
