Morning world. Mrs Mojo, my modelling muse, seems to have gone on extended sabbatical. I would like her to come home soon.

@snaptophobic
Same here.

We have a miniatures club to go to tomorrow evening, and I am just not feeling it at all.

I think I just have too many other things that have to be done to have any spoons left for fun.

I hope you can get back to modelling soon.

@Maker_of_Things

I’m going to give Mrs Mojo a bit of a prod today. Let’s see if she can be persuaded to get back into the swing of things.

@snaptophobic @Maker_of_Things I share this mood! My psychiatrist says one of the hardest things is to start doing the things that improve mood while feeling down. I instinctively feel that I need to be happy to do the things that ‘belong’ with happiness but he argues that doing my hobbies helps me lift myself out of the gloom, even if not all the way or not for long. I tend to rebel against ‘happiness as a choice’ theories but, in fact, while not being a ‘cure’ (and it seems now I am never going to have a cure as such) what I choose to do with my time has a great effect on my mood. I suppose, secondarily, the problem with social media is it’s hard to convey these complexities so we see pictures and texts from each other as denoting a single emotion (did a thing = happy) when in reality they never do.

It probably wouldn’t be so bad if I had a project under way. My next planned build consists of three tiny biplanes, and will include a fair bit of scratch-building as well as rigging wires and so on.

I think, once I start, it’ll be fine. It is just that starting bit that’s tough right now.

@snaptophobic @Maker_of_Things hopefully the winds of inspiration lift your sails at some point. Tiny biplanes sound cool.
