Don't know if you know #Islanders. It's a gorgeous little puzzle game where the pieces are city buildings and decorations. Looks like a city builder, but the simulation is completely abstracted away to points. Made by the same folks behind Superflight and Thronefall.

They handed the IP off to another team, and yeah. I like Islanders: New Shores. $5 on Steam right now.

@randomgeek Ooh...I played a *lot* of Superflight (relative to my average session length, at least) but hadn't kept up with later stuff, so these went from "never heard of it" to "in my library" in record time. Thanks!

@structuregeek For a while there the connections were not obvious. I don't think Steam's "Grizzly Games" entry was hooked up to the later works. Glad they are now, because Internet sleuthing is a lot harder than even a year ago.

But yeah the primary dev excels at "this game is about one thing." He's also very smart about working with people who have a keen eye for visual design.

Oh hey and here's another piece for you

This channel documents my full time indie dev journey, all the way from its beginning in 2018. I make a mixture of educational and entertaining game dev content. Commercial indie games I released so far since starting this YT channel: - ISLANDERS (as part of Grizzly Games) - Will You Snail? (Solo project) - Thronefall (Grizzly Games) I'd be honored if you decide to stick around to see where the journey goes.

@structuregeek and yeah I paid for CrossOver so I could play Superflight on my MBP. Heckin' love that game.
