Is anyone else having a problem with subscribing to channels? - Lemmy.World

Hi everyone! I’m having a problem with PeerTube. When I click “Subscribe” on some channels, it will say that I am subscribed but as soon as I refresh the page it says I am not, as if I never did it. The channel also doesn’t appear in my subscriptions list. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is this within peertube or lemmy?

It’s within PeerTube. I’ve had it happen in the PeerTube mobile app and browser (Firefox)

Which instance? Sometimes downtime can affect it or different versions of peertube between instances. Peertube federation had issues a couple of years ago.

I’ve had it happen on multiple instances, like subscribeto.me and tinkerbetter.tube

Oh yeah tinkerbetter doesn’t federate if I recall. Certain instances can chose to federate or not. I can see subscribeto.me on my small single user instance, so not sure there. It sucks your having so much trouble.

Ive had more luck on piefed. Dont ask me why but videos seem to come in easier there: EX: https://piefed.social/f/fediversevideos
