I don’t think hyperbole helps here. If Jan 6 was the most shameful, then the icestapo’s kidnappings and disappearings are not that bad? The cruel God-King’s very reelection isn’t? The Trail of Tears, Manila campaign, the Zoots, Jim Crow, contragate, the El Salvador death squads weren’t?
