Times at the turn of the 20th century and after that were interesting indeed - there were all those new crazy and exciting thoughts: communism, socialism, anarchism, fascism, there were thousands of different esoterical and occult groupings, things really happened in culture: there was all kinds of avant garde.
2/2 Right now there is whole lotta mess, wars, outrageous invasions and bedlam going on but it's all so yesterday. Same old colonialism and racism. It's awful, of course, but it's also very boring, so cliché. I am not yearning for the violent beginning of the 20th century. But in those times, there seemed to be hope, there was something new on the horizon. Probably there is something new today, I just cannot see it yet.
