There are those who know it's a lie and stand ten down in supporting the lie; there are those who don't know but won't have the curiosity 1o find out; one or two may not know and have the intellectual integrity and intestinal fortitude to see and believe. The truth is for those with the figurative eyes to see and ears to hear.

Yes, colloquially, many westerners use the term “arab” to actually mean Muslim and semitic people are, in fact, a lineage of Arabic people whose identity has been co-opted by British colonizers but, again, that is an issue separate from the issue being discussed.

You honestly thought I was claiming there are Isreali suicide bombers? One of us believes suicide bombers and proxy-bombers have reasons or circumstances leading to the things as they’ve done, literally sacrificed their own lives and those of innocents for, whether well-thought-out or misguided-extorted-manipulated-or-desperate … and the other is pretending that acknowleging the existance of suicide bombers is be-smirching multiple ethnicities, cultures and a religion.
You know why the characters in the OP aren’t Irish Catholics or hostages themselves? Because the IRA is irrelavent today and we don’t have back-stories for them; What they are doing isn’t the point beyond the extreme contrast with their circumstances versus what the one is anxious about. If anything, we as the reader are being asked to empathize with the passenger, and/or the driver for having to put up with him.

If the comic wouldn’t still work without the first three panels, you might have had a point, but those three panels literally serve to differentiate a couple suicidal, crazy, misogynists from your average Muslim.
