2025, okay.

- I wrote a lot, both for work and for pleasure
- I went to many protests
- I read a lot about Renaissance Italy
- I have an elementary schooler now
- I ran a lot, and walked a lot, and didn't swim enough
- I didn't join a political party
- I did join a church

Now I'm curious what 2026 will bring.

@quidcumque Did you read Ada Palmer's Inventing the Renaissance? It's still on my stack of books to read, but I was absolutely intrigued by her summary of it on History for Atheists
@ananas yes! And I liked it a lot!
@quidcumque that's so cool! What other books on the Renaissance did you enjoy?
@ananas I didn't read any others *about* the Renaissance, but I read two alternate history (with Fantasy elements) novels set in Renaissance Florence and Renaissance Rome in the 1490s: Jo Graham's "Blood of the Bull" and Jo Walton's "Lent".
@quidcumque renaissance fantasy sounds like a cool settings
