@stux seriously true. I said it yesterday, the man is a saint for putting up with this shit.

The U.S. have shown themselves to be traitors to the rule of law order they created and benefited most from. Most of us will never trust them again.

I hope something new forms from the EU and other allies like Canada and other liberal democracies, and I hope it can happen very fast, because the void left by the U.S. may be impossible to fill otherwise.

@gunstick @stux I think the U.S. government has irreparably destroyed its long-standing relationship with the law-abiding, democratic world it helped shape. I think it is going to take at least a generation (30+ years) to repair the damage, assuming the right-minded people in the country (which number tens of millions and are fighting like hell) can start the long reparation process after taking back power in the 2026 midterms.

If they don't do the latter, it will take much longer.
