Are you as successful as you wanna be in life?

If not, what's the problem? Be honest with yourself. Maybe you're not working hard enough or maybe you're just not as good as you think.

That very well may be true, but I really don't think so. You don't have a problem at all. The problem is with others; specifically your friends or lack of them.

Don't fall into the mindset that you can do everything yourself. Find other people; talented and reliable. Work together, share your dreams.

If you're like me, your greatest successes of life came the same way; asking for help.

I learned a trade, sold a business and began a new career after forty all by asking a favor. It's how I started dating my wife.

Are those memories less important because they depended on another person saying 'yes'?

Not to me. It takes courage to ask for help. There's a chance of rejection, it's not under your control. It's a test of worthiness.
