@rbreich I agree with your point, but I also don't like the word radical. I like the definition of radical in that it is to look to the roots of society. However, for those who doesn't understand latin, the opportunist whom exploit the reactionaries unawareness of latin can easily paint the word exactly as they want without pushback.

For deem, the red scarfed girl opens her eyes and proclaims:

> I am a rooter because I want society to uproot itself away from control driven, towards meaning driven.

Compare this with the old lady with the round glasses who calmly says:

> I am a radical because I want society to move away from control driven, towards meaning driven.

Both says the same thing, but the scarfed girl seems to choose more agreeable words. There is no chance for reactionary voices to mispaint the scarfed girl. On the other hand, just because the old woman used the word radical, reactionary voices may paint her exactly as evil as they may want to.
