If your fav artist doesn't want to move to bluesky cause it'd be "hard to do" give them postybirb, the multi-website poster www.postybirb.com If they clearly want the clout, the ease of use, the "not losing an audience"... they should be using this lmao

It's really dumb we have to accept creators using twitter out of a sense of pragmatism while they don't use tool that would expand their audience There is a point at which you can just say they want to use twitter and the audience is just kind a normalized bonus lol
I always hate the framing of "cultivating an audience" cause it makes people around like some crop /you/ produce rather than people actively wanting to listen But there is a truth that if you want people to listen you gotta do stuff in an area they will listen. Twitter was once that place ->
It is no longer that place. The power of twitter was that anyone could become a big person who people were aware of. A lot of times nowdays it's just pay to win with a curation towards right wing/praising elon type rhetoric. That's really bad for newcomers who just want to make stuff ->
it's bad for older artist just wanting to make stuff The platforms are not the things creating "content". People are what make the works on those platforms. Platforms are a middleman. If the middleman is fucking people over, why should we be on them? We shouldn't ->
Bluesky is harder to use at points because you have control over your feed more so than other places. Which means viewers (like you) have more responsibility of who you listen to which is good! You shouldn't let corporations dictate what you see. That's how things turn bad in fact
And it's even more annoying when people pretend these middle men are all equal because "everything bad" Being a centrist is bad actually. There are differences between options actually. Critical thinking skills should be used more rather than just boiling down everything for one's convenience
