I like games with intense strategic and mechanical challenges… most of the time. Sometimes life has so thoroughly kicked my ass that I can’t handle much more than right clicking. And Last Epoch met me at that state, but that’s not where we stayed. This #ARPG can be as dumb or as smart as you have energy for, and soon, I was diving deep into skill trees and exploring the crafting possibilities. Did I mention you can craft set buffs onto gear? Incredible.

I also pushed deeper into the endgame than ever before and found that it likewise offered a huge breadth of options for challenges and some powerful boons. I didn’t fully clear it, but I still chalked up the bodies of some titanic gods, which was an immensely satisfying end to a journey that began with me as an exhausted blob.
