$0/$500 I am reaching out to provide some mutual aid for a very good friend of mine, Toney. She knows I am doing this for her and she certainly will appreciate any help that is willing to be given. This friend needs $150 by January 1, 2026 to pay all of her rent and a total of $500 to pay all her bills for the month of January. This friend will use all of her SSI and the $150 to pay rent but have nothing left for basic items. My friend has been put into a very difficult situation with the holder of the lease of the apartment Just leaving without any notice and leaving her with the rent. She does not have all the rent and was already late one month and was unable to get in contact with rental assistance agencies in time for them to say she can get help for January. If she were able to give them a month notice the agencies could help. She was abruptly given this choice and was not expecting to have to budget for the entire rent of the apartment. This friend is a demigirl or gender non-conforming individual apart of the LGBTQ plus community. Who has a retired service dog and a service dog in training. These two dogs will not be able to get homes right away if she is evicted in January. The latest the $150 is needed is January 5th by 11pm Eastern. Toney has a psychiatric disability and needs her retired dog for some basic tasks and her dog in training to learn the more in depth tasks to live her life to the best of her ability. If you are able to donate to keep my friend and her dogs off the streets that would be so appreciated. She is looking into more affordable apartments but they will not be available until this lease she is stuck with is over. So she can either fill one out herself or go to a different cheaper apartment that will not be ready for a few months. She can cover February and march payments but she is in dire straights to get January paid for or she will be evicted for being late previously.
