It's because they think one day they will be the rich (the American Dream) and don't want to tax the rich cos one day it'll be them....
It's a bit of the same stupidity of buying Lottery tickets with 1 in 6000000 chance of winning and they are fed this nonsense with their mothers milk ...

Sadly it's catching on more and more in Europe .... Particularly the UK
