JitschThis series absolutely makes up for PreCure being such a letdown. The whole story about Thoma is not only bringing us closer to the secrets of Alicepia, it’s also sad and then it became heartwarming.
The fact that the princesses (especially Minamo) kept trying to understand their supposed enemies is so important and something that should appear in every good magical girl series.
The new duo is splendid and I’ll have to listen to their song more often. I liked that they were immediately and seamlessly added to the ending - can’t wait for the same happening with the opening.
As a PreCure fan I could also not help thinking of the ways this seems to reference that influential series.
A purple magical girl having lost her companion sounds a bit like Cure Moonlight (I guess Sumire would look good cosplaying her). But loss was also an important theme in Wonderful PreCure and part of why I liked it so much.
Villains becoming magical girls has been done a lot in PreCure. I had to especially think Cure Macherie and Amour, one of which is purple and a former villain, they also have a similar age difference and transform as a duo.
Princession Orchestra is getting inspired just by the best bits ☺️
