tuftCADCachyOS works really well and I really haven't found any issues with it as a daily operating system compared to Windows 10 but I don't understand why the shader compiling thing has to run all the time.

@tuftCAD you mean the vulkan shaders for steam?
@chirpbirb Yeah those.
@tuftCAD i think you can disable the automatic compilation of shaders in settings and it'll do it only when you're about to launch a game. i have mine on because my gaming rig is separate from my daily driver
