Tunisian authorities arrested prominent opposition figure and head of the National Salvation Front in Tunisia, Ahmed Najib Chebbi, following an unjust sentence of 12 years in prison in what is known as the “conspiracy case,” after a sham trial driven by political motives.
Call on the Tunisian authorities to immediately overturn all unjust convictions and prison sentences issued against Ahmed Najib Chebbi and all 33 other defendants in the so-called “conspiracy case.” We remind the Tunisian authorities that peaceful political dissent is a right, not a crime!
