I got a bag of twelve toy meeces in the mail today. Just chucked them in the air and now there's meeces everywhere. Even Supervisor's been playing with them.
She loves these meeses
Her brother has a new game where I leave a water bowl in the shower and he goes in there repeatedly to splash the water all over the place then leave trails of wet paw prints all over the floor. A bathmat can only do so much. He loves this game.
Finally got tabby for a claw trim today. She's the most melodramatic of the three. Supervisor doesn't like it but puts up with it, my little boy tries to wriggle free from me but loses. And tabby cries as though her life is ending, and writhes around like she's being tortured. It's terribly cute how much of a dramatic act she puts on.
See what's going on in this place. The inseparable twins.

I have to go into the office today so I'm leaving the kittens with a freshly filled water bowl in the shower. My lad's found a tiny bug to obsess about and his sister's climbing a 2m tall ladder to perve out the window at a bird on the neighbour's roof. It must be Monday.
The babies started their frisky chasing around 5:30am this morning and galloped joyfully around the place until brekky. Wolfed that down and off they went again for another round of chasey, shower water and wrestling. Now they're having a nap in a box. Good start to the day for them. Supervisor took one look and went to Narnia.
It's now playtime
The babies spent a large chunk of today up a ladder just perving out a window. Supervisor came over to see what they were doing but got bored and went back to Narnia. Something out there was fascinating to them though.
No you're spending some time folding and cutting and drilling paper to make cat toys.
The struggle is real
Her paws are all different colours and patterns
The cat trap is still working
The babies were up around 5am today, and started the day with mad gallops around the place. This lasted around 40 mins. Then a brief rest and they were back at it before brekky arrived. Post brekky it was shower water time, paddling around and wet paws everywhere. My lad managed to nick half of Supervisor's brekky as well.
My Saturday afternoon spent building cardboard cat play houses and rearranging their vast real estate holdings.
Supervisor approved.

Sunday night with management keeping a close eye on me

WFH means so many levels of management watching my every move
Supervisor was in Narnia but came back this afternoon. Walked in, sniffed Tabby who sniffed her back, no hissing, nothing. Supervisor just walked over to the cat bed and snuggled in. All three in there with me, with no fireworks.
Supervisor decided to relax in a palace post dinner

The look I get for stopping patting for a moment. How very dare I.
Supervisor found a lady bug inside and was playing with it, looking very pleased with herself. I rescued the lady bug and took it outside to sit in a pot plant before my little tabby spotted it and ate it.

Hung out with my mate today. Highly recommended.

Lot of hard working managers kept a strict eye on me today
Someone strongly feels he should get more snackies. Apparently his lunchtime snackies were too few in his eyes.

My little boy needed tummy rubs then cuddled into my lap and wouldn't move for more than an hour today. When he's in the mood for it then he's such a cuddly lad. When he's not he still runs off as though everything is scary. Hopefully in a year or two he grows out of it, same for his sister.

Supervisor still chases them around but is slowly toning it down. I keep pointing out to her he's bigger than her now and tabby's catching up on growth spurts.

The plumber is coming today to fix the oven, so I've removed the kitten barrier I had put up to stop them getting underneath it as little babies. Both have already investigated under there thoroughly now, Tabby found some random crumb to eat. Turns out it's not that exciting under there but it's dangerous for little kittens. I think it's safe to go barrier free now.
Everyone had a lazy day today, too warm for scampers.
Just went to two Kmarts looking for litter deodorising balls, both out. Got the zoo a snuggle and some meeses instead. And orders the balls online.

The management would like everyone to keep it down, they are currently resting after being up at 4am for gallops.

#Caturday

After the babies arrived I bought some litter trays at Kmart to handle the load. The clips that lock the two halves together are part of the same moulded plastic as the top half, and eventually from clipping/unclipping, just wear through and break off.

So I've ordered a fancier tray via Aliexpress to test out and if it locks better and is easy to clean I'll get some more. Sick of having these clips just break in my hand.

Someone likes the new snuggle

#Caturday

This guy just casually coming and sitting beside me, that's new. He also jumped up on the bed today to watch me put pillow cases on pillows. Hopefully more signs of chilling out and learning to trust me more. He's such a sweet boy, but still skittery.
Middle management were hard at work, supervising me, today.

The babies got up around 5am today and needed to stampede around the place until we got up just after 6. This involved moving toys and furniture around as well as just galloping for the hell of it. Morning exercise should be this fun for everyone.
@VWDasher @MelissaBearTrix Snorri did his morning stampeding on top of me and the other half. I had to have a remedial nap just now.
My little boy was feeling quite animated post dinner inhalation. This involved a lot of galloping about and chatter. He got up on the post and asked me for some attention so I started patting him. This was immensely pleasing and he started wriggling from joy....and fell off the post.
Earlier today, perving on the neighbours.
The mad scampers continued late last night after I went to bed, and also this morning. Even Supervisor got in on the action and had some mad zoomies and sprints. The lad loves it when she gallops and and chases her merrily along. Tabby doesn't trust her and only follows from a safe distance and speed. All three have been charging about for the past 90 mins.
Found my lad lounging on the couch so gave him a good combing to get the loose fur out. And most unusually for a cat, he just rolled over and let me comb his tummy quite thoroughly. Wonder if his sister will do the same. His fur is looking and feeling excellent nowadays, getting very soft and shiny.

Only lower management supervising me today. The others are on a festive break I think.
When the boss can't be bothered coming out of the office to keep an eye on you
Someone wants some tummy rubs
First belly rubs of the year
Supervisor is going to have a snuggle kind of day
@VWDasher I love it when they do that. My aunt has a ragdoll who will stand there presenting one side to be brushed, then turn around for the other side, then lie on his back so you can get his belly. Purring the whole time.
@dwillanski I had a floof who would start drooling if I went anywhere near the brush, thankfully as he needed extra grooming all the time! My oldest car is addicted to it too, the kittens are still getting used to it so it's great to see him embracing it so well. His sister's not there yet.

@VWDasher

My place with extra cat.

@Susan60 It's the weekend!

@VWDasher

My place looks like that all week.

@Susan60 yeah they'll probably be like this tomorrow to supervise my work.
@VWDasher @MelissaBearTrix how good are those cardboard cat trays. Snorri is sitting next to this one because he knows Thordis will push him off the tree if she catches him using Her Tray.

@Unixbigot @MelissaBearTrix mine is clearly Very Tasty to my lad. Bar one corner.

I just checked at Kmart and they only have the one size still, dammit.

@VWDasher @MelissaBearTrix (Snorri has his own tray on the next level down of the tree, but the top level is where Brushies may be Demanded)
