I'm cis female but six foot tall, when much younger I wore my hair very short πŸ€”
So it happened alot.

@DoubleTreble @MelissaBearTrix yeah I think if you're a tall female person whether cis or trans you get misgendered accidentally by ignorant and unobservant people who assume that if you are tall you must be a man, also if you have short hair, as long hair is something only girls have, obviously.. my only cis m child had hair down to his bum throughout his teens and was misgendered daily.
@DoubleTreble @MelissaBearTrix conversely I also think if you are a tall, attractive women you will get a minority of spiteful people ( mainly white males I'm afraid) who will (possibly subconsciously) misgender you as a deliberate way to try to wreck your self esteem and prevent you getting big headed. .. and I think this will also happen whether you are cis or trans. It probably hurts the fuck more if you're trans though.
@Fizzfizzpopop @DoubleTreble @MelissaBearTrix During my childhood, stories of men gazing at a back and ass with nice long blonde hair, trying to flirt, and then realizing it’s a bloke and feeling mislead, fooled, or fucked were Β»comedyΒ« on TV.
@MelissaBearTrix @chloeraccoon @DoubleTreble @PetraPhoenix rather strangely I don't mind being misgendered at all, I'm not fussed if I come across as male or female to people, and I tend to think that if someone misgenders me they've just labelled themselves either an idiot or a wanker. Or both. Which saves me time finding out about them. However, I really hate being called either sir or madam. I feel grossly insulted and massively pissed off with them whatever. Why do we even need such stupid words. Just treat people respectfully rather than messing around pretending with words..

You bring up a good point here. When I did my grocery pickup last week, I had a new person. He had long hair and lipstick, which confused me for a moment, because I didn't want to misgender him or her. But in the long run it didn't matter, they wear name tags and I can just call them by their names.
