We have an electric kettle that keeps water ready for a cup of tea. But it's not hooked up to the water line, you have to refill it. A few times a week I go to make my cup of morning tea and find it's almost empty, due to my daughter's late night cup and lack of refilling.

The other day she was saying how great the kettle was, "Remember when we had to actually boil water whenever we wanted tea?"

Me: "Yes... yes I do remember. Like it was just yesterday."
