Sewing lesson so far on the box cushions. Turns out sewing the zipped on the back first (in the seam allowance) and then flipping it over and top stitching works the best. Uses a lot of thread and requires two additional sewing operations, but the result is fsr neater. #cushions #upholstery #sewing

Yes. Top stitch flattens the roll of a stiff of heavy fabric.
Since this doesn't respond to ironing, stitch.
@EugestShirley Thanks for the earlier suggestion! I did find running the blade of my scissors along where I needed a crease does the job (where ironing would not work). Cushion #5 (which I am finishing right now) is so much better than #1, LOL. Only I will know the difference, of course, but figured there would be a big learning curve.
