Brey, I think saying anyone in the GOP is running on "fighting crime" and "public safety issues" is either a literal fucking nazi or the very living definition of the term useful idiot.

The Republican Party, very clearly, runs on locking marginalized people in cages. That is the purpose of their "anti-crime" programs - locking ppl in cages and giving money to donors who own cages.

Democrats are into this too, but the GOP is the party that straight up admits it. "Public safety" my ass.

@AnarchoNinaWrites

"Tough on crime" to the Right is basically their dog whistle for "Let's invent new crimes to impose on those leaders so we can enslave, experiment with, and even kill them, so that we wealthy privileged White folk can get away unscathed with our own real crimes." The repression is the point, not the "crime".

@AnthonyJK Sure, I get that. But my issue is when mainstream media, including outlets that are often very critical of Trump, even some that say the F word (The Guardian for example) will then turn around and say the Gov of LA ran on "public safety issues and parental choice."

No, he ran on locking up brown people and letting fascists teach their kids to be Klansmen. That's what he ran on.

@AnarchoNinaWrites

Well, plenty of fascists cosplay as "centrist" Democrats and fool the "liberal" media into thinking they are opponents of, rather than shadow accomplices of, the TrumpsterReich.
