Has anyone here ever made their own #digipak for a #CD? #diy #digipack
@m from scratch from broad cardboard ? I allready ordered ready made blank handcrafted digisleeve to print our own screen printing.
@m for a #DIY project, I would give preference to digifile or digisleeve as these are 100% cardboard unlike digipak with its plastic #CD holder.
@NicolasBaillard I guess I understand your point. Personally, I don't like plain card sleeves cause I'm afraid of scratches in the CD. I know, this not that bad. It's just me. :)

Where did you ordered the prepared ones? Thx, man!
@m I understand your point of view. Imho I'd rather avoid plastic add-ons, also lighter for post mail, and digisleeve remind me of a mini 33rpm 30cm record cover. I ordered ours at pochette-carton.com https://pochette-carton.com/produit/pochette-cd-blanche-digisleeve/
There quite expensive but good quality and locally made.

@NicolasBaillard Yeah, the plastic-free thing is ... a thing.:) Thanks for the link. Those paks come also with space for a booklet. Nice!
@m here are our hand screen printed digisleeve from our band Garage Blonde's first album. The picture shows dull pink but in reel life this is a bright fluorescent pink ink (that would have been very difficult to have same "flashyness" with industrial offset print without costly special inks options). #DIY #screenprint #garageblonde #poesieelectrique
@NicolasBaillard Looks really awesome! Do you got any kind of tools or a machine to do the hand screen printing? This is totally new to me.
@m Thanks Marcel ! We had the chance to go to a screen printing shop in our neighbourhood, that is called Turboformat, and the very kind and talented guy that works there (Ben Sanair) explained to us how to proceed, he helped in the process to expose the printing screens, and then we went for hours of screen printing by ourselves ! It required precision and long-term muscular effort ! It was half a day for 150 CDs and another half a day for 100 vinyls
@NicolasBaillard Wow! Thanks for sharing the details. Glad to hear you also did vinyls. Who pressed the vinyls? Did you burn the CDs or was there someone who pressed the CDs as well?
@m vinyl were pressed at La Manufacture de Vinyles near Annecy but the company doesn't exist anymore. Cd were pressed (150 for digisleeve and 150 for promotional use with minimalist "sampler" cardboard cover), with Reverberation (Bordeaux).
