I’ve always assumed that posts that began with “as a black man” were posted by a non-black person. Trying too hard, and invading their own Internet privacy at the same time.

I’m white and was raised in the culture. I have never once heard a black person say “as a black person”.

Not even in an all white HOA meeting to make the point. A million other ways to say that or infer that.

Its usually a Caucasusian person who starts a sentence with “as a mother”.
