Nick“Governments should join the Fediverse!”
IMO, Governments should have websites that work and are regularly updated and should leave social media entirely.
JCMAs someone whose government has a presence in the Fediverse (on their own instance), I don't mind it at all. It's even kind of nice to see some of the (smaller) government organizations replying to comments.
But it obviously cannot replace a reliable website with all relevant information.
