I went to the local nursery (plant shop) today; they are full of Holiday mood, and even though I don't do a lot of Christmassy things, it's still a fun place to be. I was shopping for a white elephant gift, and I might just use the big bag of wildflower seeds. Who wouldn't want a yard full of wildflowers? 1/🧵
I passed by this pretty eye-catching seed rack. I'd never seen these before! Instead of photo of the plants, they are illustrated. The second photo clearly shows an illustration of poppies, but the caption says "corn" in Japanese. I wonder which is true? And how did that got mixed up? Why did they think putting the plant name in Japanese was a good idea? Shall I tell them? #SoManyQuestions end/🧵

@Tamami As @NilaJones noted, these are what's called corn poppies, which would (partially) explain the caption.

Shido Seed Co. sounds Japanese, but these seem to come from Chive, a company founded in Canada.
