They're not meaningless because many decisions will not be appealed to SCOTUS.
That the MAGA SCOTUS majority is an integral part of the MAGA Republican white supremacist project and has and will overturn far too many legally sound decisions is an enormous problem, but district courts routinely defending our rights and freedoms is still important.
I get that, but it's kind of a fart in the wind at this point. The only cases they lose are ones they don't care enough about to appeal.
That's not quite right. They don't appeal cases they're not pretty confident are in their sweet spot of what the MAGA SCOTUS majority cares about enough to ignore their own past precedent and purported doctrines to rule in the regime's favor. Some of these are quite important.
