I think my afternoon nap is giving me the finger.

@agiletortoise best perk about working for myself: being home with Erin.

Second best perk: after lunch siesta.

@caseyliss I am a life long napper. No apologies, no regrets

@agiletortoise When I first went indie, Mikaela was 6mos old. Erin would sleep when she slept, and I was always “🤨”

Then I tried to join the girls while they napped.

7 years later, I can handle going without my afternoon siesta… but I prefer not to 😇

@caseyliss Our first kids were twins. You learn quickly any sleep is good sleep.
@caseyliss Also, props for risk taking. Katie was pregnant with our third when I went indie. It was scary.

@agiletortoise I left my last jobby job when Mikaela was 6mos old. It was the dumbest best decision I ever made.

I can’t imagine doing so if Erin were pregnant — much less with number three!!

Respect. ✊🏻

@caseyliss Mind you, this was 2007. Not App Store times. I was consulting and did it knowing a had two solid clients. But still.
@caseyliss @agiletortoise To be fair, Google has nap rooms so this isn’t a perk exclusive to working for yourself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@mwest217 @caseyliss Not to argue, but you know those aren’t there to be chill, but to facilitate people staying at work longer than they should. Law firms have always had those, too.
@agiletortoise @caseyliss I work at the Boulder Google office and that hasn’t been my experience there (I’m rarely in the building more than 40 hours a week including using the gym and meals), but some people’s experience may vary
@agiletortoise — no rest API for the wicked!
