In any case this article is just one example. Elon Musk has been actively trying to undermine the EU and other governments that he does not like. He has been using X actively for that purpose.

@jon I see parallels to the end of the medieval and beginning of the modern age. Back then, rich families or persons started lending money to kings and emperors (Medici, Fugger, etc) until the rulers were so dependent, that the Bourgeoise could easily control and finally sack them.

Interestingly this shift marked the beginning of capitalism. Right now it's marking it's end. In capitalism, corporations want to sell things, whereas the feudal system was based on lending feuds. Nowadays corporations don't want to sell us things anymore. They want to keep ownership of everything and make us subscribing to services and products. Only took us ~500 years to go back to feudalism... :)

@jon in Romanian, the verb "to regulate" has two distinctive meanings, and you can say that some regulations are to regulate them.

PS: the other meaning can be directly translated with the F word.
