Martin LucasÉliane Taïeb wrote some of the first post apocalyptic novels in the 50's, under the names of Julia Verlanger and Gilles Thomas.
Some of them, like "La Mort en Billes", take place in France.
You can find them in some secondhand bookshops but also at the Bragelonne editions.
