"How much longer will the Russian people tolerate their mass-murderer dictator-president?"

Putin should have accepted Trump’s deal. Now Russia’s collapsing economy could lead to his downfall

The war against Ukraine has hit ordinary Russians hard, and the deteriorating situation is likely to inflame tensions, says Guardian foreign affairs commentator Simon Tisdall

The world is wondering the same about Americans.

@andrewstroehlein Putin will never accept any deal. Forever war against the West is his entire political platform.

As for how much longer... just yesterday, I engaged in a discussion with a Mastodon account claiming that its owner has PhD in international studies, specializing in Russia. The only outcome was my opponent's basically repeating the old Kremlin propaganda myth that 86% in Russia genuinely support the regime. At which point, further conversation became pointless.

@andrewstroehlein So how much longer until the free world realizes that organizing a popular revolt to overthrow a deeply entrenched ultramilitaristic totalitarian regime is sort of difficult and requires a lot of international cooperation? If even "researchers" fail to understand this simple truth, the whole revolution thing may take much, much longer than expected.
