Did an overhaul to our <podcast:medium> handling so that "audio" and "video" podcasts are grouped together as just "podcasts".

So there are only 2 distinct groupings: Podcasts and Music.

I think this will be for the best. Video is still playable within the Podcasts grouping, but keeping them together will hopefully make sense intuitively, and reduce unnecessary fragmentation, and "choice paralysis".

I see the very top item on our Podcasts page is now @ChadF's Homegrown Hits Music Playlist...which is a "musicL" medium type, which I have not accounted for at all yet.

Maybe we'll need another link in the sidebar? Put a "Lists" link in the "Music" section?

I believe our handling for "Lists" will be mostly identical to our handling of "Artists", since both of those types of feeds are collections of <podcast:remoteItem> tags, rather than your typical RSS podcast tags.

@ChadF the reason the "musicL" medium type shows up at all on the Podcasts page right now is because I am coercing all the medium tags that are not "video" or "music" into "podcast".

I'm treating "podcast" as the default medium type of all feeds, unless specified as one of our other supported medium types.

I'll need to enable "musicL" as a supported medium type within our infrastructure. Again, shouldn't be too difficult I don't think, bc it'll be similar to Artists aka "publisher" feeds.

@mitch

I got 8 others too and @Kolomona has musicL playlist also that you can make on his site. v4vmusic.com

Mine are just every track from the top 9 music shows. So you can listen to the tracks with out the hosts rambling on and on.

You worked on some music stuff before so I added one to see what happened.

@ChadF @Kolomona cool! I wasn’t aware of any of the list “L” medium types in the wild. I think I should be able to fit it in.

If there are only a small number of examples using it at the moment, it may end up an advanced or somewhat hidden feature, but I think it should be doable.

@mitch @Kolomona

We have been building our music apps together and working on the playlist stuff along the way.

Him more than me since I just wanted the ones from the music shows to seed my sites database with. Using the music shows as a filter to keep out the Bitcoin and AI music. :)
