Porridge spoon with decorations, carved from beech wood.

This Sunday my Swedish porridge bowl, that I think is from the 1920s, rhymes in the following way:

Min mage är förstörd af punchen
Jag botar mig med gröt
till lunchen

(English translation is difficult, help is much appreciated)

Here is a very primitive English translation of the rhyme:
My stomach is destroyed by the schnapps
I cure my self with porridge
for lunch
@emilgoode DeepL's translation even rhymes:
"My stomach is ruined by the punch.
I cure myself with porridge
for lunch." 😂
@canyakker Deep'L is very clever :) In Swedish punch is a kind of schnapps, you have this punch in Canada as well?
@emilgoode I initially thought it was about a punch to the stomach 😂.
But then my German part of the brain kicked in and thought of "Punsch" which is a hot beverage with rum, red wine, orange peel, and spices. That made more sense. Lecker, and powerful!
@canyakker Haha that's why I avoided the word punch :D This german Punsch sound similar to what we have here.
@emilgoode Something similar to Glögg I guess.
