@ghouston @georgetakei If they stopped me while traveling with an Asian-American friend who knows Mandarin, and ICE tried that, I'd be really tempted to say to my friend, in my rather limited Mandarin, "Qǐng shuō wǒ shì měiguó rén", so he can translate for me ... just to confuse them.
