I would recommend not donating to Ruby Central at all until they publicly release their bylaws. A “community non-profit” should not operate in secrecy.

I didn't know until Tim posted either. But sure enough, it's posted in #questions-for-ruby-central on the community Slack. It seems that there's a bit of a bias towards the speed at which certain kinds of information travel.
