wowowowow I read & loved about ~20% of these titles when they came out, and the only reason I didn’t read more of them was that I couldn’t afford to buy that many comix.

Just some of the ones I read & enjoyed at the time:

  • Bitch Planet
  • Paper Girls
  • Saga
  • Deadly Class
  • East of West
  • Injection
  • Revival
  • Sex Criminals
  • Trees

I’m so totally buying this bundle so I can re-read those and hit the rest that I couldn’t afford at the time.

Also shout out to the web developer at Humble Bundle who looked at the “bulk download button” user story and thought to themselves: “clearly this button should spawn a separate download for each of the 175 files listed on the page.”

@rossgrady counter user story: As a developer who once implemented a streaming download zip builder for arbitrary user-selected sets of files, I would like a PM to let me take this shortcut.

Honestly though, it was fun and not THAT complicated.

@Leehro the annoying thing here — as I dig my way out of 175 “save file to” dialogue boxes — is that the list isn’t even user-selectable. The only time savings was in not having to implement any logic to pre-zip the files for the various individual Humble Bundle campaigns.
@Leehro @rossgrady I was going to say … I could handle that ticket properly *now*, but creating a zip on the fly brought me to tears back in the day
@shovemedia @Leehro the weird thing is that Humble Bundle has been around forever — at least 15 years — and I don’t remember having this issue a decade ago. So maybe at some point they rewrote their front end and decided it was an acceptable regression?
