Considering that I only set it up in mid October, I've already gotten some good use out of my self hosted #AudioBookshelf instance!

Threw all my Audible audio books in there (after backing them up) and have been relistening to some series since.

Audio books (and podcasts) help me keep my brain busy when I'm trying to fall asleep at night, I usually don't notice the 30min timer running out whereas without listening I take way way longer to find rest.

Speaking of podcasts, I switched to @AntennaPod a while ago, and just saw it also has stats 😄
@foosel a very useful feature as well. Or a disturbing one... 🙈
@matzekult @foosel I've lost some stats when switching phones but this is the current year, no audiobooks for me though.

@sandzwerg @matzekult @foosel Peak reminder to sync your listens to $cloudprovideryoutrust or your own cloud.

The app even has integration for that!

@Dexruus @sandzwerg @matzekult oooh, I didn't know that, that's a good reminder! Need to hunt that option down right away and set up a sync to my next cloud instance.

@foosel @sandzwerg @matzekult Right in the options.

To sync into gdrive its "a little more complicated" but theres a way to automatically sync the database to gdrive as example with the googledrive app. But who wants to use gdrive unencrypted anyways. ;)

@Dexruus @sandzwerg @matzekult Gotcha!

Also enabled backups to a local folder on the phone that I keep synced through FolderSync into my cloud, that way there really should be no way for anything to get lost.

@Dexruus @matzekult @foosel I had that configured but I think I lost it sometime later without noticing. Maybe on the next switch or something with the setup is broken. I'll need to fix it again
