I've been staring at the last three words for an hour, trying to figure out what comes next. #WritingIsHard

@queenofnewyork as a compliment: you would make for a really bad LLM!

something good will come πŸ’ͺ (maybe taking a break could help?)

@bazkie I finally realized what’s keeping him from running instead of walking. His nemesis is probably watching. :)
@bazkie (or rather walking instead of running when he’s panicking)
@queenofnewyork yay!! I don't know about the context of your story, but good to hear you found what you were looking for!
@bazkie It's, um, very disturbing. But I also can't stop because it's not DONE yet!

@queenofnewyork don't get overworked! πŸ˜…

is it a short story or are you writing a novel?

@bazkie It’s probably novella-length. I’m at around 14k words now. It’ll probably be over 20k before it’s done.
@queenofnewyork cool! have you written such length stories before?
@bazkie Ish. I worked on several novels, including finishing NANOWRIMO one year, but they were mostly a collection of scenes that I could never quite figure out how to make cohere into a story.
@queenofnewyork I see, I suppose creating a convincing scene and writing a coherent plot are very different skills. the latter does sound complex!
@bazkie I generally do ok at setting up characters and settings, but yeah, figuring out what should happen, especially at the climax of the story, can be a struggle. Especially when you’re writing a scene and the character goes off and does something else entirely. Remarkably hasn’t happened with this story. :)
